Pierre Pienaar & That Girl

» Still Breathing

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 09-05-24 14:15

Label: Pure Trance Recordings
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance

After remixing Existence by Solarstone & Space-Frog Saves Tokyo, Pierre Pienaar, from Namibia, teams with That Girl for Still Breathing on Pure Trance. The Original Mix is very Creamer & Stephane K but the Uplifting Mix is faster.

The original is proggy and refined in its structure and build. That said, there are elements of uplifting trance in there as well which suits the PT layout right down to the ground. But the original isn't an uplifting track. Its a proggy wonder that meanders through the gears with That Girl's vocals coming from the dark.

The Uplifting Mix increases the tempo somewhat and is the Pierre we know and love from his releases on Drizzly and Nukleuz. This is the mix I'm playing most. Again, the vocals are present but there's a nagging synth bass-line that accompanies them. A bonafide PT anthem. Big grin
