Liquid Bloom, Bloomerian & Snow Raven

» Fragrance Regenerated

Label: Desert Trax
Format: Digital
Genre: Ambient / Electronica

Liquid Bloom follow up the release of Fragrance with a bumper set of remixes on Desert Trax. Remixes come from Wolf Tech and Tylepathy, who have both remixed Liquid Bloom's previous endeavours. They're joined by Geomaetree, Nyrus, Akriza, Numantik, Cyma and SWAYLO.

Its a smorgasbord of versions from psydub and electronica to ambient. Siberia's Snow Raven's spoken word vocals are present from the original release. I get a Porangui-esque vibe here. And that is no bad thing at all.

My favourite mix is possibly the Tylepathy remix that, like their previous works, is devoid of beats and is, instead, a soundscape; a voyage of peaceful ambient that meanders its way through the dense wood. The other mixes travel the gamut and weave their journey through a colossus of sound. The Wolf Tech mix has an almost dubstep feel but is distinctly almost house-like in beat and bass-line. The SWAYLO mix has a club mix variant but that is not part of the package. The Club Mix is available on Beatport as an exclusive. Akriza's mix has also been unleashed on its own and is part of the set.

In all, this is a nice addition to the Fragrance journey. Check the Wolf Tech and Tylepathy mixes. They're particularly dope.
