The month is kick-started by the return of two of the worlds leading female djs, Lisa Lashes and Anne Savage who are presently in the middle of a world tour, a far more personal tour than ever before, this will see Lisa and Anne sharing the decks at every date. The pair came up with the idea following sets at events like Dance Valley, where they played alongside each other for the first time. With both now as equally renowned for their alternative dirty beats sets as they are for their hard-edged techno, it’s a fusion of styles that trust us will tear the
Lisa has recently launched her new label Lashed Music, where she has been releasing her own material and putting out tracks from the best emerging talent. The first release came from Ms Lashes, in the form of the dancefloor igniting ‘Always Faithful’. The follow-up ‘Can’t Sleep’ is due in June, and the explosive hard techno workout is already laying waste to clubs the world over, and precedes the release of further singles and an artist album later this year.
Anne, too, is set to release further productions, including under her acclaimed Dumb Blonde guise, which has seen her play in the DJ mag arena with Carl Cox and Steve Lawler at the Legendary Space opening party in Ibiza this summer, as well as at Glastonbury and Judgement Sundays. She’ll be producing remixes for bands such as the Rakes and the Holloways, and playing some special events with XFM’s Eddy Temple Morris, supporting Hard Fi and Franz Ferdinand
Joining the fray also is self confessed lover of trance with balls Sean Tyas who has been carrying on his recent run of good form with yet another string of original and remixes that are propping up the cd wallets of the biggest and best around including the massive new single on Discover ‘Drop’. Sean has shot to be one of the forerunners of the scene with his heavyweight productions and ballsy dj sets. New Slinky resident and tech trance rising star Lee Haslam gets in on the last set action with Chris Linnell providing the perfect start to proceedings.
Over in T2 Stripped return after their successful launch party with Paolo Mojo headlining. Paolo is no stranger to T2 having cut his teeth way back when at the Fandango parties held by his friend Nic Fancuili. This Friday is however a rare chance to saviour the sound of a man who continually wins plaudits from the biggest and the best including the likes of Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed and Lee Burridge. Joining him will be the usual array of Stripped’s new breed talent headed up ably by main man Dan Galbally
Prehab returns after celebrating its birthday in style and there is no let up as it kicks in with its 2nd year at The Gallery. This one sees Prehab bring in rising star and Grin resident Jack Micheals for his debut supported by Perfecteds Kriess Guyte and Cyclones Ben Davis with the two ressies Dave Irvine & David Murtagh on hand to make it another perfect Prehab.
