We at Raver Baby have decided to do things a little differently for 2012 and each event will now be a unique celebration of a massive part of the scene whether that be a label, a particular artist or a particular era of hardcore. Our new home for these events will be the Roadmender in Northampton where we promise to bring back the true old skool rave feeling and vibe – expect full venue decor, the latest intelligent lighting, loud & clear sound systems and a powerful main arena laser.
To launch the new series of events, there was only one obvious choice – Essential Platinum. Based in Northampton and synonymous with the rave scene since 1995, Essential Platinum has constantly been at the forefront of Hardcore from the early days with releases such as Toy Town and Through The Darkness, through massive tunes such as Ordinary People and All The Tears I’ve Cried and onto the present day with dancefloor smashers like Save A Life and First Serve. Always pushing things forward Essential Platinum has stood the test of time and has an envious position in rave history.
We hope you can join with us as we restart the original rave vibe – every true raver that arrives wearing fancy dress or white will receive a FREE whistle or Glowstick upon entry to help crank up the atmosphere to the max. We’re aiming to reclaim the rave – are you with us?!

From 7pm – 10pm come join us at The Underground, located at the rear of the Roadmender, for a 3 hour pre-party warm up session hosted by another Northampton resident, the multi award winning Joey Riot and friends. As an added bonus, all those attending the pre-party will also receive priority entry to the main event.
