MATHIAS SCHAFFHAUSER - (Ware Recordings) LIVE
Mathias Schaffhäuser has been around in the techno, house and minimal scene since 1994. Past releases of Mathias appeared on WIR Recordings, Lebensfreude, on Persistencebit Rec., Resopal Red and many more labels. In 1997 he started his own record label WARE which has released 89 twelve inches as of Feb 2011.
Schaffhäuser’s motto at the turntables is: Purism sucks! The quality of the music is what’s important, not sheer functionality and a perfect mix. That is: at times his sets can be rather varied from Ware-style music, nice + smooth neo-house and funky minimal to thumping techno.
JORDI MAS - (Excuse The Mess)
Jordi Mas is a Barcelona-born house and techno guru. Being a talented DJ and a dab-hand in the studio, Jordi established himself a London home as the creator of his Minimo party, drawing an array of talent including the likes of Giles Smith, Dan Berkson, and Margaret Dyga. We are happy to have him playing out a deep and diverse set for you at Twin Sister.
SINNER - (SMYHD, Late Night Rites)
Sinner hails from Greece and has been obsessed with music since his teens. Since being in London, he has introduced the "Show Me Your Hard Drive" project that encourages producers and dj's to push the technology further and use it for their dj sets. Part of the eclectic Late Night Rites crew and half of the Medicine Men, SINNER has been gaining more and more fans each gig he does so expect a highly original set; a vibe that is both hypnotic and trippy and will definitely keep you glued to our dancefloor.
SEAN O'ROURKE - (dollop DJs)
The infamous dollop DJ resident plays a quality choice of house, techno and anything in between. Whilst a student in Nottingham Sean started putting on small intimate parties at the Bomb nightclub Nottingham with techno and house legends such as Terry Francis, Sancho Panza, DJ Heather, Groove Armada and Yousef to name but a few. In 2004 Sean took on the minimal electro mantle and helped bring the minimal and electro sound to Nottingham with the now infamous party called DOLLOP. Early guests included Jo Jo de Freq, Matt Tolfrey, Repeat Repeat, FC Kahuna, Inxec, Killa Kella and Kissy SellOut. Dollop is now probably the biggest electro night in the Midlands with Carl Craig, Simian Mobile Disco and Erol Alkan playing in recent times.
