A Remote Location… Three Rooms of Mayhem… a Soundsystem Cranked Up to Full… a Handpicked Line-Up of Legends… and a 1000+ Revellers…
This spring, prepare for an event that celebrates over a decade and a half of producing the very best upfront UK Hardcore events. On Friday, 7th March, Fusion return to their home of Club Ice in Westbury, Wiltshire to celebrate seventeen years of throwing the biggest parties in the underground clubbing universe. Adopting their usual slot of 20:00pm until 06:00am, this groundbreaking all night Hardcore adventure will feature a hand picked selection of the underground’s finest artists to help kick off and join in on the birthday shenanigans, with highlights including a headlining appearance and welcome return from Hardcore Till I Die and Raverbaby head honcho Hixxy; as well as some very special headlining guests, dropping by to wish Fusion a very happy 17th!
For this year’s Birthday Bash, the mayhem will be spread across three key arenas, UK Hardcore, Hard Dance / Hard Style / Techno / Gabba and Old Skool Hardcore & Breaks, bringing together all aspects of the Hard Dance community under the one roof.
In the Main Arena, it’s a big birthday bonanza in association with Experi-Mental as the very best of today’s UK Hardcore artists gather for a birthday party guaranteed to bring many happy returns with an all star cast that includes Clubland Extreme Hardcore stars and Hardcore Till I Die regulars Hixxy, Re-Con & Squad-E, United In Hardcore, Essential Platinum and all round Muffin man Gammer and one of the original purveyors of producing the finest Hardcore since the beginning… Scott Brown.
In addition to this Freeformation creator, Hardcore Heaven regular and crowd favourite Kev Energy will be making a welcome return to the Fusion Main Arena, as well as Hardcore’s craziest duo and arguably the longest standing performers of ‘proper Old Skool vibes’ - Vibes & Livelee will be in full attendance, as will Fusion creator Supreme, back to back with THC production partner Sunset Regime. Fusion favourites and Electrik regulars the Geos Crew will be performing back to back with one of Fusion’s original residents Ramos; in addition to this, the Chunky Boys are gearing up for a peak time performance set to well and truly light the blue touch paper on those candles!
Rounding things off nicely amongst the chaos of the main room and keeping it hectic, Welsh Hardcore brand Nemesis promoters, the Last Of The Mohicans are making their Fusion Main Room debut as will South West Hardcore maestro Niacin.
Fusion would also like to take this opportunity to officially announce their resident for 2008 as DJ Flyin’, having been a keen producer, performer and follower of Hardcore for well over a decade. Currently, he works closely with Sparky and partner Charm on the production of tracks and remixes through their company Fast Music, one of which (anthem ‘Hold On Me’) was recently signed to THC Records and used on the top ten hit compilation album True Hardcore. Flyin joins the ranks of the hallowed Fusion residents bringing with him knowledge, experience… and plenty of beer!
To complete the roster and keep things vocal for this party of a lifetime, Fusion has enlisted the help of the elite for MC duties which covers international superstars Storm & Whizzkid, Fusion’s longest standing MC resident Knight, famed lyricist both here in the UK and Stateside Casper, Welsh hero Wotsee, the young and smooth Scotti B and one of Hardcore’s originals, MC Livelee.
Hard Dance is the order of the day in Arena Two and ensuring that the 17th birthday is a very special occasion indeed, Fusion have organised a very special set of guests. Quite possibly one of the most dedicated producers of our time, Techno legend M Zone heads up the proceedings followed by the return for a third successive visit of Welsh Hard Dance Heroes Cally & Juice, second helpings of Kevin Energy and Scott Brown, some filthy Hard Techno from Ribbz and additional performances from Vortex, Paul Dee & Tripoli. MC’s Ribbz and Si The Sigh are to host.
Arena Three is designed to take the clubber back to the original days of Old Skool Hardcore so that ravers are invited to sample a taste of Fusion’s humble beginnings back in the day, hosted of course by some of those that were performing on the main stages of the World’s finest Hardcore parties in the early nineties. Fusion presents Druid, Ramos, Wink, Force, Supreme, Vibes & Livelee, Roni G and Jedi playing Old Skool Hardcore and Breaks, hosted by MC’s Scotti B, Marley, Casper, Whizzkid and Knight. Combining seven underground dance music genres over three arenas and bringing with it flawless, full-on production, awe-inspiring light shows, an array of top drawer entertainers and merchandise stalls; Fusion is ultimately a massive festival atmosphere event, neatly packed under one roof.
