After six parties Alumni has reached its first Birthday. What started out as a bit of a laugh, and is still much the same, has grown into an intimate event showcasing the music that made Dance music the powerhouse it is.
After the success of our first ever all night event last Christmas, it seems only fitting that we go all night long for our Birthday party.
So Thursday 13th April 2006 Alumni presents its second all night event. You don’t have to worry about work the next day either as we’ve carefully picked the Easter weekend to hold this event. So forget Good Friday, this is going to be an amazing Thursday.
So lets have a look at the line up…
Steve Hitch
Steve is more known for his Trance sound and as a promoter he has helped Spangulation become one of the most respect Trance parties in London. He’ll be ditching the Trance and getting things started with some House classics.
Stakker
Stakker is part of the Techstyle collective but as well as playing Techno he has a massive collection of Dance music from the early years. Expect more big tunes across several genres as Stakker showcases Dance music history.
00Frenchy
Marc has been a part of the scene since the early 90’s and is now one of the premier London Hard Trance DJs who regularly headlines massive events all over town. He’ll be delivering a set of quality House music that has gone but not been forgotten.
Latex Zebra b2b Skol
The brains, if you could call it that, behind Alumni and another avid fan of all things Dance. He’ll be playing a set of the more well known House tracks, backed up by Alumni and 414 regular Skol for a very special and exclusive Back2Back set.
Guy Garrett
Another Alumni resident who has blown people away with his tendancy to mix tunes together than you’d never imagine hearing. An amazing DJ and entertainer, as for what he’ll play on the night, it’ll be a surprise for us all.
Replay
Replay first played for Alumni back in November and it was his first time behind the decks of a club for over 5 years. He’s impressive set of tough and uplifting Hardcore sounds from ’94 made him an instant choice to take things up a gear.
Mark Ashley
As part of the Nu Energy Collective, Mark has helped breath new life into the Hardcore scene. For Alumni he’ll be going back to the beginning as he showcases the sounds that paved the way for the massive resurgence of Hardcore today.
Mad Phil b2b B.S.E
Mad Phil is the final Alumni resident who has established himself as another of London’s top Hard Trance jocks. Along with B.S.E they’ll be finishing the night with an anthem filled history of Dance music as the span the genres and keep you on the dance floor till the very end.
