Following the huge success of this year's second edition of BMC, which saw the number of professional delegates increase by over 30% BMC 2016 the event will now take place on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th April.
Over two days the conference focuses on music trends and technologies, split between Panel Debates, Q&A's, Tech Showcases and our Exhibition Floor. Our panels are built with experienced industry figures covering the latest trends and topics, often becoming a reference point for the industry for further months to come.
In line with the event's reputation as a forum for new ideas and challenging conventional industry thinking, Association For Electronic Music (AFEM) CEO Mark Lawrence reveals the topics for his 2 talks: "Get Played Get Paid; Building the New Music Industry" and "Stealing Our Own Success; Are DJ's accidentally killing sales?". Full details of the conference programme to be announced soon.
A new addition this year is the Toolroom Academy platform on Friday 15th. The Toolroom Academy is the new educational arm of Mark Knight's global powerhouse label.
Day features include a Producer Track Construction Seminar where one of Toolrooms DJ/Producers will hold court and demonstrate live how they make a track, tip to use and why, how they've constructed previous tracks and also build a track live using the delegates input to help shape the track. Another feature is A&R Drop-In where up-and-coming producers can drop in their tracks for submission where a select few will be asked for live tips and development to hone their sound within a seminar.
Product launches are all around the conference, from the Exhibition Floor and specific Branded Areas showcasing their own latest equipment and technologies for the future.
If you are just starting out in the music industry or an experienced professional the BMC offers an array of opportunities to form new business partnerships or expand existing networks with established partners.
