It was a warm, dark night on the 3rd of September in Bedlam City. The forces of evil were gathering in strength and numbers, plotting the single greatest coup of all time. Their aim: To take control of music as we know it and to smash the Heroes of Hard Dance once and for all, to bring an end to their reign of power...and so between them, they drew their plans...
To strike at the heart of the Hard Dance Heroes HQ, The Fridge, Bedlam City at 22:00 hours.
Out numbered and unaware of the impending danger, the dynamic duo JP & Jukesy were patrolling the decks as the first wave hit.
-“Holy Cow!”
KER-POW! SMASH!
-“Flash the Bat-signal Boy Wonder, we can only hold them back for so long!”
-“Good thinking Batman!”
Then as the clock struck midnight, from out of nowhere and faster than a speeding train emerged Lucy Fur, but could Wonderwoman tip the scales of justice?
But what’s this?! Shadowing her every move purrrrfectly was the fiendish feline, Lunar Chic, (aka Catwoman) and the fur flew as they grappled and panic gripped the city, as it’s fate hung in the balance.
Then at 01:00, from the clouds appeared the revered Dave Randall, the Silver Surfer. Travelling at warp speed, this gifted, totally indestructible enhanced superhuman who could augment the strength of his cosmic energy-powered body and endow himself with class 100 strength, enabling him to thwart the advances of evil, and the first battle was won.
Returning to their lair, deflated but not defeated, the mutant militia re-grouped and re-armed, prepared for their second strike…
Justin Bourne was on the other side of the city when his spider sense alerted him to peril. He could sense danger, and in single strides he leapt buildings, bridges and rivers, hoping it would be in time to save his fellow crusaders. It was 02:00 when Spider-Man arrived, just as the second assault began. With astonishing speed and agility, Justin pounded the mutant army without mercy but they kept coming…
It was 03:30, and with time running out, the heroes feared the worst, what more could they do? The situation was critical.
Just at that moment there was a distant rumble in the clouds, and somebody shouted,
“Is it a bird?… Is it a plane?… No, it’s Ian M!” Hot out of the metropolis and looking to even the score. Superman had arrived. Annihilating the mutants, showing no leniency for an hour and a half, the tide had turned and the enemy were recoiling.
At 05:00 a well-timed arrival from the one and only Super-Girl aka Dirtybitch, with her astounding pace and awesome strength, she easily overpowered the remaining foes, banishing them once and for all…
We would like to express our gratitude to the crusaders of Hard Dance throughout the world for their shining example. To them, and to the lovers of adventure, the lovers of pure escapism, the lovers of unadulterated entertainment and of the sublime and the bizarre…
…This event is dedicated to YOU!
