Having only recently recovered from our near sell out February party, God (or someone indeed!) has saw fit to grace the month of May with an extra weekend with which to host the third instalment of what is fast becoming the talk of the underground clubbing scene. In fact, if you missed it, or even if you were there and want to relive it all over again, you can!
Magnetix resident Ashley James’ closing set is now available from our website, www.magnetixuk.com. Following on from Kristian was never going to be easy, but we think he nailed it. But don’t take our word for it, you can listen for yourself!
Go to www.magnetixuk.com now, where you can download or stream the mix from the front page!
But enough talk of the past; let us talk of the future!
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are very proud to announce that Magnetix is back at the legendary Club 414 on Friday 30th May, ready to rock your world one more time.
Our main guest for the evening is none other than Psy Trance legend in the making, Sutekh. He has residencies seemingly coming out of his ears (most notably Transcience, Logic and the behemoth that is Antiworld), and an equally impressive collection of production releases. Having rocked pretty much all of the largest dance floors London has to offer (Brixton Academy, Coronet, Turnmills, SeOne, Renaissance Rooms, The Colosseum) as well as bookings nationally and internationally, we are very proud to have Sutekh showcase his full on Psy Trance sound for the Magnetix and 414 faithful to experience. We guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Ehren Stowers is not only a Trance DJ, but also part of the team that brought you the fantastic Trance Generation which recently had Hidden rocking and packed to the rafters. With a solid production history behind him including releases on Mondo and Monster Tunes amongst others, a gig history including The Gallery, Heat, Innovate and Riot! as well as playing alongside some of the biggest DJs the world of trance has to offer, including Blank & Jones, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and Paul Oakenfold (yes, we are serious!). We think his achievements speak for themselves, so imagine how honoured we were when he agreed to play for us. This is one DJ really not to be missed!
On a slightly different note, Louk is our third guest of the evening. After being a resident at the now defunct Plymouth Dance Academy, he went on to start his own promo distribution website. He now deals with promo material for labels all across Europe, from the UKs No. 1 Hard Trance label Addiction Digital, to Dave Joys Swiss based Joyride imprint and Trance NRG of Italy, among many, many more. This has no doubt helped his already flourishing DJ career as he now plays regularly all over the UK, including the likes of The Sanctuary Festival, Resonate, Atmosphere and Bionic in Wales . Production wise young Louk has also been doing very well, with a healthy back catalogue of tunes out on labels Druck, Trance NRG, Club Quake and Thrust Groove, as well as a hectic upcoming release schedule. You can expect his trademark immersion of hard techy trance to utterly blow you away!
Our last but by no means least guest this evening will be birthday boy Timmy Whiz. One of the more colourful characters you will find on just about any dance floor (where he can usually be found at the front), Timmy has successfully translated his passion for the music over to the other side of the decks.
Part of the Puzzle Project crew and newly crowned resident/promoter at the newest 414 after party, reFre5h, Timmy has proved that he is just as good a DJ as he is a raver, and will be kick starting Magnetix with a 2 hour birthday set. We can’t wait almost as much as he can!
Of course, no Magnetix would be complete without its trio of residents:
Phil Lankester, quite possibly one of the busiest DJs in the scene, including residencies at Puzzle Project, Alumni and Just Groove, will be taking on a slightly earlier set than before, allowing him to showcase a more progressive Psy sound.
Ashley James, recently announced Recreation resident, has been busy working away in the studio of late, with the fantastic Futreform coming out on Technikal recordings, young Ashley just keeps going from strength to strength.
Finally this brings us to Dean Zone. Purveyor of all things European, Dean has been rolling in the gigs in of late, including upcoming performances at Hidden, Factory and even Ministry of Sound.
And for those of you who don’t want to go home come 06:00, the Magnetix afterparty will be running from 06:30 – very late, with DJs Mat Lock, 2shay, Kevster and Conrad Bruce, all for just £5.
Please note, we here at Magnetix are not content with just turning up, putting up set times, switching on the decks and playing some music. Oh no. It is our mission to give you, the clubber, a much more personal clubbing experience.
On the night we will be decking out Club 414 to the max.
Expect psychedelic décor, vinyl give aways, free mix cd’s for the first 50 people through the door, free glow sticks and bands, free tickets to other events and lots more.
Couple that with the best chill out room of any club in London, dedicated club Photographers, a roof terrace for the smokers and of course, the legendary 414 café (what other club in London can you get a Cheese Toasty from?) and you’d be mad to miss out!
We are also doing our best to support new talent and push new DJs. With a strictly any type of Trance music policy, we are always open to receiving demos. Just hand your demo in at the door when you arrive. All demos will be listened to by a member of the team and you will receive feedback.
