Sat July 16 - Prepare yourselves for The South London Soul Train Festival [South]. All floors locked, loaded and ready to drop soul and seriously conquer. Your host Jazzheadchronic joined by a positive mine field of explosive artists cooking it hot and keeping it too damn funky for 7 hours straight over 4 floors and 5 rooms at The CLF / Bussey.
Level 1: Your SLST host with the absolute most JAZZHEADCHRONIC joined by one of the most exciting live performers anytime, anywhere, Dynamic Electro Swing Heads - THE CORRESPONDENTS [Live] and very direct. With Level 1 also seeing storming sets from the most excellent DISCO FREAKS and DOM SERVINI. All acts joining the fray for the future joint pain. A dancefloor battle in search of the perfect beat, break and vibration of the soul [in all it's forms]. Outstanding!
Then on Level 2 Funked up Rare 45 Vinyl Heads - Mssrs SNOWBOY and DEAN RUDLAND drop more seismic joints of epic proportions on the dancefloor and wait for the sweat to fall. The Veteran Funk heads joined at around 1am by special guests / Deadly Red Hot 8 Piece Funkateers THE GETUP [Live]. The Getup here to deliver the funk, the whole damn funk and nothing but the funk. Live and very direct!
The level 2 back room is for those who like it too damn hot. SLST residents - NIK WESTON and HUW 72 taking you on another sublime gloablistic Safari across planet groove. Hunting down the tunes that matter and setting em on yehs. Beautifully savagely. Owwwww.
The SLST 4 Floor Line up completed in the Basement by GILLA & WAH WAH 45 DJs, delivering a smorgasbord of palatable soul joints from the flipside. Funk to Soul, Disco to Boogie, Then to Now. The deadly duo joined by First Word Signing and sophisticated soul cats - CHILDREN OF ZEUS performing a Live PA.
+Don't forget Level 3. A whole floor dedicated to the art of the chill. With 4 dancefloors open, believe us you're gonna need it.
