Just when you thought it was safe to have a Friday night at home for a change, The Gallery goes unleashes yet more dancefloor gold on Friday 11th August to tempt you back with another tantalising selection. One of the great strengths of The Gallery’s on-going success, is its diversity. The club has a strong reputation for its open-mindedness, which the clubbers love because they know they can always expect to hear the unexpected down at the ‘Mills. A good case in point is this Friday nights entertainment which features the harder-dance loving beats of Lisa Lashes, the electronic bleeps of Futureshock and the enticing trance sounds of Gareth Emery.
Lisa Lashes is one of the world’s leading female DJs. Few male spinners, let alone female jocks have achieved half the things which she has in her illustrious career, with the Lashed concept fast becoming a firm fixture at clubbing hotspots across the globe. This week’s Gallery might not be an out-and-out Lashed event, but you can expect all the drama and energy of those nights as Lisa drops by for an all too rare set. Similarly, Futureshock make their first Gallery outing of the year. Having delivered a famous full live show a few years back, Futureshock certainly have enough dancefloor firepower to go down in the history books. Famed for cult tracks like ‘Sparc, Late at Night’ and ‘Pride’s Paranoia’, Futureshock aka Alex Tepper and Phil Dockerty have been locked away in the studio all summer, so watch out as they road-test some new dancelfloor bombs! Gareth Emery is another DJ/Producer with his own fair share of classic cuts under his belt and as one of the UK’s finest trance stars, we’ll be looking forward to hearing the GTR man make a rare London appearance on the night. He joins The Gallery’s own superstar in the making – the jet-setting Gavyn Mytchel, who plays his monthly spot fresh from his recent excursions overseas, whilst regular warm up Justin Atkinson kicks the night off in style.
A short shuffle into T2 and you’ll discover the underground sounds of the Soundworx crew. After 4 magical years in The Gallery’s intimate Room 2, Soundworx will be taking a well earned rest after this week’s party – so there’s extra reason to celebrate this month as resident James Mowbray and co have pulled out all the stops to bring you, a quite simply staggering backroom line-up. First up are the mighty Peace Division featuring Justin Drake and Ibiza God Clive Henry. The duo have produced some of the dirtiest beats around during their reign and you can be sure to hear more dark drums and phat electro nonsense this time round too! Joining the party will be Flavio Vecchi – the legendary Italian DJ, so plenty of underground filth to get your teeth into.
Finally in T3, Vaccine return with another stonking line-up, fresh from the amazing July party. Dumonde make a well overdue return to the UK shores to headline with support from arguably the next big jock out of the Goodgreef stable in the shape of Barry Connell, his technical wizadry and techy style has to be seen to be believed. Vaccine residents The Viceroy and Ben Beaton return together with local talent Gary Optim and Owen Clark.
