Brand new female promoter on the scene...Basically I am trying to add a slight feminine touch to parties..I have had the (unfortunate...hehe) luck of dating a few Djs in my time so thus I have been to a fair few nights and I am always disappointed with the effort that is put into them both on the promoter and the Dj's side
..I really want to bring a more sexier funkier vibe to the night. I'm hoping to bring on board a few artists and Djs who actually are passionate about what they do and put that little extra oomph into their performance...if I'm going to bust may ass to help promote them I want to know that I'm not wasting my time. At the end of the day all eyes are on them on the night so it really doesn't matter how well I do my job if they are boring to watch people wont wanna come back!...
I also want to bring some original themes and twists into the nights to try and distinguish pinXX as being something different to the hundreds of promotion companies already flooding the scene..this is still in the brain storming stage but I have a few ideas where I want to go with this....
So far- MishMash in Clapham is the only monthly spot we have confirmed..Which I think is good as its a bar with really no image at all so its just crying out to be picked up and moulded into somewhere peeps wanna go to and could potentially provide a really good base for the pinXX nights (I guess that's why we have been taken on board!) On the negative side though..They are not pulling in the crowds...again why I think we have been taken on!.....
We have had interest from a few venues but I want to get the launch night under my belt before I consider where we are going from here..
I'm hoping to get PinXX into the more funkier, sexy, intimate bars rather than the shabby dark clubs..To me its all about the guests having a really good, memorable night...sexy music, sexy venues and sexy people!..
Hopefully I wont fall flat on my face but I really do feel there is something missing and I'm hoping pinXX can tap into it and become a name that everyone associates with GOOD parties!
I hope that gives you at least an idea of what I am aiming for!! :P
