2016 was the year of Alumni. All our parties were brilliant and we had quite a few.
This year, due to the promoters being a little focused elsewhere, it’s taken a while to get a date sorted for the first Alumni of 2017!
May… 5 months in, this is an outrage.
OK, we’ll make it worth the wait and as it’s our 12th Birthday we can guarantee it will be something special. We’ll be encouraging as many of the DJs as possible to spin vinyl at this one!
We also promise that you won’t have to wait quite as long for the next one… Plans are already afoot to get a date in for the next one…
This event is FREE all day but we would appreciate any donations to the ongong costs of the 414 etc!
So, a little more about the line up then.
Our special guest for the birthday is Danny Gilligan. Danny’s enthusiasm for the scene has seen him grave the decks at the biggest parties in the country.
His own Vinyl Warriors Brand is currently one of the hottest events around right now with some top parties lined up for the rest of the year.
He’ll be closing the party out with a special B2B with Alumni resident Skol.
We have another super special B2B in the shape of former Techstyle and Redtrip resident G-Whizz and Alumni regular Paul Zykotik.
The idea of putting these two together is both a dangerous one given their love of insanely fast music and the time they’re playing.
We hope, they’ll be going for some kind of classic Electro Techno thing… NO GABBA!
Our final guest for the day is MistaTwist, another DJ who has played for Alumni so often we might as well make him a resident… Maybe we have.
He’ll be warming us up with some… I dunno, I think we asked for Italian Piano House… It’ll be worth arriving early for.
Round up the party are your residents Craig Luck, B.S.E, Matt Church and Latex Zebra… All will be delivering their own unique brand of classics.
