| Age: | 39 | | Background: | Hi, I’m Davey Asprey. I’m a 21 year old Trance/Tech-Trance & Techno DJ from Walsall. I started DJing in the summer of 2005 after watching a hero of mine Eddie Halliwell rip it up at Amnesia in Ibiza in 2005! But I’d always wanted to get into DJing, but didn’t have the funding until I came into some money after getting back from my holiday in Ibiza a couple of years back. The styles of music I listed above are only my primary styles of music, I also play Tribal, Detroit Techno, Uplifting, Euphoric, Electro & Tech-House. Some of my biggest influences in music and DJing come from: Eddie Halliwell, Carl Cox, Marco V, Marcel Woods, Sander van Doorn, Kutski, Nu Nrg, Mauro Picotto, Steve Lawler & of course my good buddy Chu who showed me the ropes of DJing and left me to define my own Mixing & Playing Style (Cheers Buddy!!!). When I first started out mixing I would spend hours in my bedroom learning how to beat match, then came the art of mixing, Now for anyone who says mixing is easy! I challenge you to a duel haha!
In august 2006 I played my first gig at a night called Nailed in Leicester and from the response of my debut I landed a residency up until the night shut down and moved to the Bambu also in Leicester. I’ve had the privilege of DJing alongside David Forbes, Jack Richards, NuSense, Tina Martin & Princess S.K.B.!
Davey Asprey Biog
Davey Asprey is a young, refreshing and enthusiastic DJ who has appeared on the trance scene of late. He showed a great interest in music from a very young age, listening to new wave in the late 80’s and early 90’s, his passion for EDM music evolved, luring him to the white isle of Ibiza in 2004, 2005 & his debut in 2007! The moment that Davey’s DJing passion was conceived, was watching and being influenced by the one and only Eddie Halliwell - who is still his number one rated DJ to this day. Davey has also been greatly influenced by some of the best trance DJ’s to be bread out of Europe - Marcel Woods, Sander Van Doorn and Marco V.
Over the last two years, Davey has been proving himself to be a DJ of great diversity, playing not only Trance, but Techno, Tech-House, Tribal House, House & Electro. His first appearance was at Nailed (Leicester) in 2005; following this he secured residencies across the UK. He recently achieved every budding DJ's dream...his debut on the white isle that is Ibiza on August 22nd 2007! This was a fantastic start to Davey's career, it has led him to play alongside the likes of David Forbes, Jack Richards, NuSense, Tina Martin & Princess S.K.B.!
Determined to make his mark on the scene Davey also works for Goodgreef, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Tylor Leigh, Barry Connell & PFA. He has also helped out the likes of Adam Sheridan, Greg Downey & John O’Callaghan doing web management and PR/Promo as well as launching/co-promoting the GroundZero Project/Events in the Midlands & the North of the U.K.
