| Age: | 39 | | Background: | Mumbles is a young, upcoming DJ with huge passion & love for what he does. He's had a passion for electronic music from a young age, however it wasn't until his first clubbing experience that this love of music he already had fell into place. 'I was only 16, I remember being really nervous as to whever we would even get in or not, thank god we did, what a night! I was captivated by the way the DJ's interlocked with the crowd, making us go wild for their music'. His sisters friends were already involved in DJing & it wasn't long before he started playing around on their decks. He instantlly was hooked and soon after bought his own mixer & set of decks. 'I will never forget when I got my first set of deck, I used to run home from work to get practising'. He kept progressing getting better week by week, playing around with different genres from Funky House, Breakbeat, Trance & as time went on Hard House & Hard Trance. By this piont he loved so many different genres he couldn't keep up with them all. 'There's so many tunes & you need to be up to date with them, it was very expensive buying so many record every week, so I decided I needed to focus mainly on one genre'. Over the years he's had spells playing differn't genres from Funky House to Breakeat to Electro but always found time for his main love of Trance. He's picked up different styles and techniques from every genre he's played and incorporates them all into his unique, energetic, uplifting, tough & edgey style today, where crowd participation go hand in hand with legendary showmanship.
Over the years he's hosted weekly shows on four underground radio station including Creative, Logic & Intense FM. He's been in several DJ Competitions one of which at the ever famous London club 'Turnmills' & more recently 'D-Joust European DJ Competition 2008' were after five grueling round he got through to the final out of over 500 entrants from all over Europe. He's played lots of clubs in & around the South East including mainstream clubs such as Turnmills (London), Plan B (London) Mangos (Reading) & recently made his Ministry Of Sound debut @ The Gallery. He's played alongside DJ's such as Matt Hardwick, Simon Patterson, Astrix, John OO Fleming, Christopher Lawrence & Mark Moore.
He currently dedicates most of his time promoting his own night 'The Beat Addiction Presents...' which he started in 2008. Since starting the night its gone from strength to strength & is now showcasing the skills of some of trances heavyweight A-Listers.
He has recently set his sites on production & at the end of 2009 he did a music production course with Subass. He now has two track under his belt & with endless idea's just bursting to get out, Mumbles is a name to look out for in 2010!
